Advance Adapters Wide Weld In Motor Mount kit Reviews
Just wanted to respond to the guy above... you had to modify the mounts because they are for a CJ not a YJ I had to do the same thing and knew that going in.. but you can't blame the product if you don't use it for EXACTLY what it was intended for
Decent kit, the holes in the part that you weld to the frame are too small for the hardware that comes with it, so you’ll need an 11/16 drill bit to drill out 4 holes. I used these in a 88 YJ, 28” frame inside width, to mount a 92 tbi Chevy 350 in it, however, the slotted pieces, when mounted directly to the small block, are too wide for the frame by about an 1.5” I had to cut one side down. When you put a 350 in a YJ you’re supposed to offset the motor towards the passenger side of the frame by one inch for steering and driveshaft clearance, for driver side drop of course. On another note, when you assemble the bushings, the bracket that welds to the frame has two holes in it, the mounting hole on the inside of the bracket is too close and the bushings interfere, once they’re tight they find they’re own spot but just something to pay attention to.
