Installed on 74 Jeep CJ 5. Length matched original rear brake cable and quality appears good. Four stars instead of five because protective cover at key points is not long enough. Cover needs to be longer to protect cable where it goes through frame or contacts springs, etc. There is hardly enough and I will add my own cover in the form of a split water hose of the appropriate diameter. Not a big deal but manufacturer could easily add a few inches of protective covering and eliminate the issue. Original cable had a lot more protective covering at key points. During my rebuild of this project Jeep I have noticed many manufacturers try to cut corners on replacement parts in similar ways on many parts. By doing so they make an otherwise excellent part less desirable and lose rating stars in their reviews. The original parts had certain features like protective coverings for a reason. Just match this and everyone is happy. We’re not talking about a significant increase in cost to turn out a much better part.
