Description
Beef up your ride with Rugged Ridge steering components. This is a bolt-on solution for preventing bent tie rods from wheeling with larger tires. The tubes are 1-1/4 inch dia. steel that is cold rolled, pierced, and drawn through dies to produce a 1/4 in. wall thickness. This is true DOM tubing with NO seams OR welds to fail. Heavy duty 7/8 inch rod ends feature standard tapered ends to fit stock knuckle applications. You get one ton strength without any modifications to your steering knuckles.

This is 6 stars out of 5 and as others have said, a huge upgrade over stock! It's not cheap but it's worth in IMO.

There are several different manufacturers making these......I selected this one as the price was reasonable. Easy to install but you WILL have to reset toe adjustment. It's a big thick tie rod and should help with keeping the steering from bending as easy as the stock "tootsie roll" tie rod.

A Definite Upgrade over Stock. Love the Ease of Adjustability.
Questions
MYLES G.
What is the part number for the tie rod ends? It is a great tie rod just need to replace the ends
7/8" Tie Rod ends are standard equipment on TJ Wranglers so the stock PS #56118.07 and DS #56118.08 would be good replacements for the ends originally supplied with this tie rod.
Travis W.
Is this the drag link(from pitarm to passenger side tie rod end)? Or is this the tube that goes knuckle to knuckle? (Tire to tire) also wondering what’s the part # for the replacement tie rod ends?
This is the drag link
David G.
How long is the tube itself?
The tube length, without the tie rods, is 33-7/8" from nut to nut.
