Borgeson 000875 Heavy Duty Replacement Lower Steering Shaft for 97-02 Jeep Wrangler TJ with Power Steering
When your steering starts to go, it can effect just about everything on the vehicle as well as becoming a safety issue. Factory replacement shafts are one option, but they do not play well with Jeep TJs with a lift kit and larger tires. For that, you need a Borgeson Heavy Duty Replacement Steering Shafts. This lower steering shaft is designed to connect to the steering box and either a factory upper shaft or Borgeson upper shaft, and to provide superior steering quality after lifting the vehicle. Shaft is also telescoping so you can adjust to fit whatever length you need. This Borgeson Heavy Duty Replacement Lower Steering Shaft is designed for 97-02 TJ Wranglers with power steering.
Superior Fitment: This Borgeson Replacement Steering Shaft is specially designed to replace the lower factory shaft on 97-02 TJ vehicles which have been lifted, along with fitment of larger tires and wheels.
Safer Performance: Thanks to a heavy duty telescoping assembly with two precision needle bearing u-joints, these steering shafts provide superior handling and excellent steering response over the factory steering shaft.
Easy Installation: Shaft includes all hardware and installs easily with simple hand tools.

Borgeson Heavy Duty Replacement Lower Steering Shaft Reviews
Thanks
better then stock
I installed this on my 1997 TJ. Two or three times larger then the stock part. My only complaint is the steering wheel will not line up straight now. I can only see one way to mount everything so not sure what I did. I will make a trip to an alignment shop and see what they can tell me. Heavy duty part for sure. I installed both the top and bottom shafts.
