Description
The Crown Automotive Power Steering Box is a newly manufactured replacement for the tired, worn out unit from the factory. Steering boxes can wear out from long term daily driving conditions just as they can from over size tires and heavy off roading, the only difference is the time. With a new power steering box you can reduce the squealing that seems to come from the front end when you are turning and you restore the smooth turning ratio set by the factory. If have oversize tires and seem to be replacing steering boxes frequently, there are aftermarket upgrades that can handle the greater stresses that are applied.

dont bother with a re-manufacture one, Buy this one its a tight power steering unit.

Helped steering feel completely, everything is keyed and output shat was in gear box upside down. My steering wheel is now upside down with no way to correct it, as everything is keyed one way. I’ll update review after speaking to customer service.

Purchased to replace unit on 99 XJ that was leaking
Installed and alignment not possible as gear had too much slop/loosness/free play
Customer service sent me another promptly
2nd unit was worse than the first
Returned both for refund
Customer service very helpful through process
Just stay away from this particular unit and save yourself all the headache and aggravation I endured

Questions

Is the steering ratio on this for the inline 6 cylinder model ZJ's ratio or the V8's? Yes they are different ratios... Which one and can you verify what ratio so we know it's accurate?
This is a 14:1 turning ratio with a 3" diameter piston. M8x1.5 hose fittings
