Crown Automotive Heavy Duty Ball Joint Set Reviews
there installed front end isn't done yet seem to be good quality
These were stronger than the Original ones, Made the jeep handle a lot stiffer, Great price for the high quality, nice packaged with thread protectors. When in easy
So, 2 stars is all that I can give these ball joints. I installed these last December 2020, in my 2000 TJ, as my passenger side upper was worn. Both sides, upper and lower, were replaced. The TJ has only covered approx 7000 miles since, and after a couple episodes of Death Wobble recently, I investigated and found that the upper joints on both sides were shot. I'm not running big tires (metric equivalent of a 32, on 17in Fuel wheels), and no off-roading, other than the crappy roads around here.
This past week (Nov 15, 2020) I replaced the Crown with the Rugged Ridge HD set, along with new knuckles, just in case. Hub assemblies and u-joints were done last Dec also, so as of now, ALL new stuff. I'll review the Rugged Ridge joints after they've been on for a while.
I gave these Crown joints 2 stars because they "looked" like they were gonna be a durable part. Why worry about the warranty, since the chance that another set will be inferior? I'm glad that I waited to do this review. Maybe others will have better luck, but I had to post a long term result.
