My original lift gate on my 1996 Cherokee 4 door is badly cracked from the license plate mount down to the lift gate latch / button/lock area as its made of fiberglass . It has original rear wiper, washer, tinted glass and defroster would this metal lift gate work on my 96, and could I use all the original items { license plate light, wiper / washer, glass, a lock / latch button ?
Yes this is for a 96 XJ and you can reuse any parts that you currently have. Many of the internal components are no longer available but seals and handles are available should you need them new.
