Fairchild Industries Passenger Side Full Steel Door Seal Reviews
I have a 1997 TG 4.0 South Park was for steel doors. This part does not fit these doors. The top fits fine but the bottom does not fit in the C channel. The 1997 TJ does not have all the holes for the inserts, the door has a C track and the replacement part does not fit into the C track, it is too wide.
So I tested the O.E.M. weatherstripping against this premium Quadratech weatherstripping by purchasing one of each. The quality and fit was perfect on both. The O.E.M. weatherstripping has the additional little foam washer which is a nice addition probably to reduce rattles and allow any water that gets into the door cavity to escape. After 2 weeks I have noticed one distinct difference though. The O.E.M. weatherstrip has already taken form and the door opens and shuts perfectly with adequate force. The Quadratec replacement weatherstrip is still very stiff and firm and is extremely difficult to close. I am afraid it will break or damage my lock mechanism so I am going to order the O.E.M. weatherstrip and swap it tomorrow. Unfortunately the O.E.M weatherstrip is more than twice the price but in my opinion it is well worth it.
