I have an 89 YJ with 3.07 gears. Will this gear set work on the same carrier or do I need to get a different one? Thanks in advance, Rick.
The answer is "It depends on what gearing you are going to." The Dana 30 carrier break is 3.55 and numerically lower; 3.73 and numerically higher. If you're going to 3.73 and numerically higher, you will need a new carrier.
