The input shaft was not in the delivery package, can you please verify and get shipped to me expeditiously.

How does 'insert shift knob pattern' (18607.04) get attached? And which way does 'shift lock nut' go. Doesn't seem to have a smooth fit either up or down.
The top of the shift knob should have a radial groove that the insert presses into. Sometimes if the rubber is stiff you may need to warm it up a bit in the sun or warm water to get the insert to snap in to the groove. The lock nut should be installed with the "tapered" side down so the flat part is against the knob.
