Crown Automotive 56001459 Heater Core for 87-95 Jeep Wrangler YJ

I ordered this heater core (which was double the cost) because I was told that it was made of copper. There does not appear to be copper in its construction. Quality if fine. Fitment was fine and it works well. I just don't believe that it is really made of copper.

I ordered this Crown heater core from the catalog for my 1995 YJ. The picture for this part in the catalog was comparable to the factory materials and build quality.( i suspect inserted was a stock photo that is a an original brass/bronze with mounting plate)
I figured the premium in price of the Crown brand, and claim of proper fittment would be superior over the other comparable heater cores offered by Q-Tec and other retailers...I was incorrect with that assumption.

If, anyone who has removed a core from their heater box knows, the factory core has an plate brazed to the core's inlet and outlet. And that factory part has threaded holes that will allow a firm installation inside the heaterbox.

Long story longer...the part depends on the heater box's interior plastic cleats, and the water inlet/outlet lines from the engine to hold the part in place inside the heater box.
I would guess that this part would knock about and vibrate itself to a state of failure.
I believe, the amount of effort to replace this vital component warrants a part that can last as long a a factory component.

Im summary Quadratec or its affiliates are not aware of the inferior product they offer. Quadratec has been unresponsive through their ticket service/ live chat/email customer service resolutions.
I love the catalogs and the YouTube presence, but the customer service needs an overhaul.
