Northern high performance aluminum radiators are more durable and last longer than conventional plastic / copper combination radiators. Aluminum is more resistant to pressure and every day damage that may occur. These aluminum radiator cores and headers (end tanks) are brazed as one solid piece allowing for uniform heat transfer. Norther aluminum radiators have wider core tubes for more contact with cooling fins which provide better heat transfer. The aluminum cores are thinner allowing for better air flow over the fins which in turn conducts heat more efficiently from your Wranglers cooling system.
Pleas Note: Installation requires drilling and cutting into the stock fan shroud.

Northern High Performance Aluminum Radiator Reviews
I bought this radiator as a replacement for the factory one. It didn't fit and had to be modified to fit. The factory shroud could not be used for this product. After a few years, the radiator was self destructive. The brackets and top reinforcement braces cracked allowing the radiator to free float in the mounts. Obviously, this is not an acceptable situation. I have to replace this INFERIOR RADIATOR WITH A NEW RADIATOR! Never buy a Northern radiator for any reason what so ever!!!
Very soft aluminum, leaked everywhere I had to replace with a stronger radiator. I do not recommend this item for anyone.
Absolutely terrible fitment, it is obvious to me that Northern *never* test fit this into a Jeep of any kind and especially not a TJ. I tried to drop the radiator in the same manner I removed the stock one, and the bottom tank was too wide and collided with the fan/clutch assembly. I had to remove the fan clutch and then drop the radiator in and even then reinstalling the fan and clutch with the radiator in the engine bay WITHOUT the fan shroud in is a feat on its own. You'd think that things would be smooth sailing from there, but the next problem is that the holes in the brackets on the passenger side are about 3/4 of an inch away from the mounting surface, but on the driver's side the bracket sits flush. The top tank rests right on top of the condenser core, and the radiator core itself is touching the condenser all the way across the entire core, there needs to be a gap between them, just like the stock rad has. The holes in the brackets don't line up well, they are drilled about a half an inch too high for me to mount it. The entire radiator is wrong for the vehicle. I understand that it is a larger radiator but it quite simply does not work with the stock mounting the way it is advertised. The only thing I can say for it is that the welds look nice and it seems to be constructed well. This absolutely will not fit in a TJ, do not buy. I will be returning to Quadratec as soon as possible.
