The VAM engine was built from 1982-1985. These engines have an "M" code on the engine ID plate, which consists of a sequential number for the
various plants which may have produced engines, in this case "M" (for MEXICO) plant. The plate is located on the side of the block toward the
front, on the oil filter side.
