Tuffy Security Products Full Length Underseat Drawer Reviews
As others have mentioned, it is a great product but difficult to put in. Once in, it is solidly mounted and fits nicely. I did have to contact Tuffy about a missing handle but they didn't hesitate to ship it out. I didn't need dividers as i packed it with enough items that they kept each other from shifting to much. It was a challenge to open initially because of how the latch works.
Overall, it does exactly what I was hoping it would.
This is a great product. **But, a few criticisms: 1) It was very difficult to install the cabinet to floor due to lack of clearance. This could be remedied by making cutaways where the bolts are inserted. 2) Also, the holes in the cabinet did not perfectly line-up with the holes in the floor of the jeep. Giving benefit doubt, maybe quality control at the Jeep factory was not the greatest? 3) I believe there is a divider kit for the deeper drawer, but not for the Under Seat Drawer. What a shame, because this is ABSOLUTELY necessary as contents shift and then it is nearly impossible to open or close the drawer! This is because the center of the drawer needs to be kept free for the latching hardware...
I made my own custom dividers (which was a challenging project) from 2" wide aluminum straight edge material. Now it is perfect!
Love the product, not the install. it took forever getting the brackets all lined up, and then getting the drawer in place and then getting them all tightened down took for ever. When installing this plan on it taking twice the amount of time that they say it is going to take. After the install, I couldn't be more happy with it though. It allows me to keep my tools in my car and still have a back seat. Only good things now that its installed!
