Smittybilt Roll Bar Padding Cover Kit with Molle Pouch Attachments Reviews
Excellent product. Get the stock pads off immediately and get these. The stock pads have already faded I’m sure.
Wish I had read these reviews first! Fitment is absolutely horrible. Stitching for the zipper came apart before I even tried to install it. You have to remove some of the stock padding under the OEM covers if you have any hope of getting these on. Putting it back in the box and returning it immediately. Don't BOTHER with this product!
It starts out easy after you get your faded oem padding off with a simple zipper that goes along the back of the cage. But don’t let this first step get your hopes up cause after this you're out of luck because now every other zipper on the back half is gonna have tension fighting against it. I managed to get the slanted posts zippered up but when it comes to the bar that connects the b and c pillar just forget it. It came to my attention that the Neanderthals at Smittybilt don’t know how to measure circumferences because this new padding is roughly 3/4” to small for the zipper to work around the padding. And just when you think you’re about to get it too, that’s when that back zipper that you zipper up first breaks apart from the pulling, and then you’re at step -1 because first you have to spend 30 minutes trying to unzip that 4 feet of broken zipper before rezipping it. At least the front goes on easy. That is after you waste an hour trying to install the wrong pad on the wrong side because the nincumpoops who were in charge of making directions labeled the passenger side padding as the drivers side. Hey maybe it’s just me and I have a special one of a kind Jeep that has thicker roll bar padding. But to make a long story short, yeah these looking great with the back half zip ties to my roll cage because it can’t do what it’s designed to do!
