The Optima 34/78 RedTop Battery is designed for Jeeps that require optimal starting power with the strongest starting burst. A great option for a stock Jeep that and can be mounted in any position.
The Jeep Wrangle YJ often used a Group 58 battery (Optima doesn't currently offer), but many YJ owners didn't like the smaller size and prefer the larger Group 34 Optima battery. The earlier 97-01 Jeep Wrangler TJ and 07-11 Jeep Wrangler JK also use this Group 34 battery along with many other Jeep applications.
These ultra-heavy duty batteries with Spiralcell technology provide 800 Cold Cranking Amps at 0 degrees F for easy starting in the coldest conditions. Spiralcell construction is more resistant to shock and vibration than normal batteries, and is perfectly suited for the off-road. These completely sealed batteries never need water or maintenance of any kind. If one needs charging, it can be fully recharged in about three hours.
