First console has a tear in it so sent it back. Second console arrived fine. Install was simple, locking mechanism is pretty cheap but hey, so is the price. :-) Basically you get what you pay for but this is not a bad console. Installed on an '82 CJ5

Not a heavy built unit, looks nice, but first time it was leaned on the brace on top in front of the cup holders broke, had to glue it back. The wife picked up the cover and the latch broke right off, pulled out like nothing.........why the keys, why lock it when it's that easy to "break into"?? Cup holders are too shallow, pop/coffee tips over when you move. 2 stars for look and fit, wouldn't buy again.
