Crown Automotive Drum to Disc Conversion Kit Reviews
The rear drums were in need of service so I decided to upgrade to disc brakes with this kit. I didn't do the work myself, however, based on the feedback I received from my shop everything went well and there were not extra parts needed for my specific application. Although 70% of braking action occurs at the fronts this was a nice upgrade and gives a little more confidence when driving around. If you're looking to make a change I recommend this kit wholeheartedly as it was complete and straightforward to install.
Absolutely one of the easiest installs that I have done yet. Everything was extremely simple and straight forward with the install.
Not the easiest of installs ever if you are working from your back without air tools but overall the parts appear to be of good quality. The instructions are not very detailed and I am unsure of the new caliper brake line adapters provided as there is not clear place where to mount the adapters and will also require a significant amount of bending the existing brake lines to connect to the new adapter. Overall this seems like a good product that will keep me from ever touching another set of drum brakes, only item I recommend the company improving is the installation instructions.
