Rugged Ridge Body Armor Rocker Guards in Black Reviews
The installation was straight forward and the instructions were easy to follow. Note: pic 7 & 8 on first page are pic 1 & 2, respectively. The hardware is short 8 flat washers and you are left with 4 hex head lock nuts (note to manufacturers). I left out the 4 plastic spacers, but I did install them as instructed. But after looking at from the bottom, these spacers actually push the bottom of guard from the body edge, so I took them out. Also, beware of dirt, rocks, etc. from falling out from when you remove the factory bolt from the front edge. Some little rocks kept the body edge from closing completely when installing the front allen head bolt.
Put these on my 2017 2-door. Look great, and they do exactly what I wanted them to do - hide the unfinished factory look that all standard Jeeps have. I do not like nerf bars or anything that sticks out - they just get your legs dirty. The finished look is very clean and simple. Perfect. They installed fairly easy as well - only had slight problem with one hole not wanting to line up right on one side. I would recommend them with 2 thumbs up.
Bought these to clean up the bottom of my 2010 JK 2 door. Fit and finish are very good. I did the install by myself in about 40 minutes for both sides total. Directions were ok, but it's really pretty obvious where everything goes. My one "thing" with these guards is that I received 4 too many bolts and 4 too few washers in the parts bag, but that was easy to fix with 4 generic washers out of my tool box (they installed in the back so you didn't see them anyway). I like the look of these and do recommend them to anyone who wants to clean up that bottom edge.
