Does this fan assembly bolt up too the stock radiator? (01 XJ)
Hello, I contacted the manufacturer to see if install instructions were available. Here is the reply that I received: "We do not have any instructions on the fan/shroud. This fan/shroud set-up is designed for installation on our radiators in this fashion:
The top and bottom rows of the core are not used, and therefore we drill into them corresponding to the holes in the shroud and then rivet the shroud to the radiator. If you are using our shroud/fan set up for a different radiator other than ours, a custom bracket would need to be fabricated." I hope this answers your question. Thank you for your question.

I have a 99 XJ 4.0L 5spd and I see that each fan has a connector. Would I tie into the existing fan harness or into the coolant temp sensor circuit. I'm also assuming I can eliminate the fan clutch?
Sure, this would replace the whole factory clutch style fan. If using a late model fuel injected engine we recommend having the ECM control the fan through a relay. Novak makes and Engine control harnesses that are made with extremely heavy duty 70amp relays to support the fans. If you don’t have the ECM control, the fan control kit like "12521.1902" (temp. sensor kit.) works exceptionally well or you can supply your own circuit. Just ensure that it is up to the task for the amp draw load from the fans.
