Daystar Lower Dash Switch Panel with Switches Reviews
Panel mounts where an existing panel is, so no drilling holes in my dash. If I decide to take it out, I leave no holes in the dash.
I have yet to add power to these, however i installed them the other day. Although a pain, cutting the slots wasn't that hard. A new razor in the knife did the job well. removing the old panel was not super quick and took some thinking.
This new panel was not to bad to install. People are saying that the fitment was not good, and the factory clips were not strong enough. I found this not to be the case. The clips; being the exact same; held it just fine. The issue was the "hooked" pieces that fit on the bottom. (very hard to explain but you'll see them) These pieces did not fit into the slots, which made the clips not line up very well. Knowing about injection moulding, i can say that these are not very clean molds. I had to use a razor to shave them down a little to get a perfect fit. As is the case with most wrangler stuff, you just have to make it fit.
Got this since it was made specifically to replace existing factory panel. Bit of a pain to cut out the switch holes, but probably better so you can decide which of the five spots you want to use. Panel itself required trimming, since it would pop out using the factory clips. Shouldn't have to trim it to get it to fit right.
