RealWheels Tail Light Guards Reviews
Love the look and the quality of the metal guard is very good. Given the high cost of this item, I was very disappointed black screws are not provided for the black guards. The biggest issue with the installation is that the thread size on the #6 size mounting screws is NOT the same as the stock screws. This is a BIG problem! It is nearly impossible to screw in the provided screws without breaking off the head or breaking the screw itself. I stopped as soon as I realized what I was doing was going to keep me from ever installing the stock screws again. I decided to use the stock #6 screws and they worked perfectly fine. There is more than enough length for them to work. for the #8 larger head screws, I used those provided because they are longer and that thread size is correct to OEM. I painted the heads black to match the stock screws and blend better with the black guards. My advice...use the OEM #6 screws and DO NOT use those proved with this kit. Extremely frustrating that at this cost the manufacturer doesn't correct this with the right size thread pattern. Be warned! Once I got that figured out, install went perfect and they do look good!
