Rugged Ridge Spartan Front Bumper Reviews
Light weight, exact fit and easy install. You will have to follow the instructions on modifying the vacuum pump.
exactly as pictured. with hand tools a 1 hour 30 minute installation. product is well constructed and finished.
The Rugged Ridge Spartan front bumper was very easy to put on. The winch plate felt heavy duty, while the rest of the actual bumper was light enough for me to handle myself in putting on. I liked the interlocking bolt points that kept the winch plate fastened, as I know this will be the point of stress. However, not so fun, with photo I uploaded, is that after I installed the bumper with fog lights exactly to the instructions, I tried to put a winch on. I bought a 12,000 LB Badlands winch. The only problem are the two front mounting holes for the winch bolts on the Spartan bumper. They sit right above the steel brackets which hold the fog lights in. The fog lights are held in place by easily wallowed out tiny bolts held in by tiny lock nuts. The bolts from the winch were around one inch. The clearance between winch bolt hole and fog light steel bracket WITH fog light installed, is around half an inch. So my wife had to help me as I tried to navigate the one inch bolt with washer and split washer into a half inch clearance, and have her try to lift up one side of a 83 lb winch while trying to line up the hole on the bottom of the winch. I feel like the engineers at Rugged Ridge should have moved the fog lights over some because I was not comfortable trying to drill new holes into a thick steel plate.
