Rugged Ridge Off Road Jack Mounting Bracket Kit Reviews
Good
I have the rugged ridge tire carrier... I never saw any good info on how this was mounted, so the way this works, Take the 2 bolts out closes to hinge, The spacers are needed for this. The mount only touches the spacers, not the tire carrier. you don't need the extra plates provided. Takes about 15 mins. It is tight and solid for now... posted pic with red jack to see space between mount and tire carrier...
When you finally get it installed it's quite functionable - HOWEVER
The instructions are worst than useless, they combine two installations in one guide so you have no idea which is which. Essential info (aka the drill bit size) is totally missing and if you installing the mount on a 2012 or later JK (as I was), the extra spacers you need to install are on a totally separate sheet, with no way of letting you know went they fit into the install! Plus, I encountered major alinement issues when installing the final fitment. Beware, do not even consider grabbing the jack and mount to hoist yourself onto you bumper - it will twist completely out of alinement! If you think your paying extra for a better product, it 's debatable if the extra hassle is really worth it. What I thought would be a half hour install was over two and a half hour!!!
