Rugged Ridge Front & Rear Steel Tube Fender Flares Reviews
Overall Im pretty happy with the flares.
Strong construction, relatively easy installation & they look pretty dang good on my girl.
See my full review video posted on YT.
Do yourself a favor & get an actual nutsert tool for the install & its best to have an extra set of hands to help.
My only complaint is the overall finish of the fenders themselves. The curves of the flat tops of the flares & welds are sloppy in places & the overall fit to my Jeep is off in some places.
There are small gaps in between the body & the flares (see pics) which can't be seen until you're standing close up.
For those of you who are obsessive about the look of your jeep will probably see this as a deal breaker however doesn't bother me bad enough to send them back.
Look great! One fender was damaged but I was able to touch up with some OEM black paint paint I had from the dealership. Gives my JK a better look with the 2.5” lift over the factory flares. Install was easy but you do need a nutsert tool or use a bolt to crimp nutsert without special tool to install the rear fenders.
Product Review:
The fender flares work and fit easily on our 2016 JKUR. They are not top line products. Construction is just a mounting plate welded to a tube with a thin sheet of metal as the top cover. Very simple and it looks that way. The driver side rear fender has an area about 1 inch in length where the powder coat is missing. You see bright shinny metal. This is a process issue as the replacement flare had the exact same issue.
