Rugged Ridge Front Fender Chop Brackets Reviews
Easy installation and the end result looks great. It took approximately 1 hour per fender to install. The quadratic video is easier to follow than the written instructions included with the kit. No need to remove the fender flairs as the written instructions say to do nor the wheels, but I can see where removing the wheels might give you a little more elbow room. A couple of items to note, first the production units have a different wiring harness that the preproduction unit in the video and you configure that depending on your OEM lights. I plugged them in and checked for proper function before proceeding with any cuts required for the install. Better safe than sorry. Second, there are two layers of inner fender and I found both need to be cut away before you can mount the adhesive pad. The instructions were not particularly clear on this issue, so I removed the first layer, tried to fit the bracket and then had to remove the middle layer (definitely take care here if using powered tools, you don't want to cut through the outer finished surface of the fender flair).
I’m glad rugged ridge finally got these out to customers. Install was fairly easy. Just make sure you take your time making your cuts on the fender trim and it will turn out great. Also I would recommend doing the install like the Quadratec video posted and not like the included instructions. It’s much easier to do the install with the fenders still on the Jeep.
