Improved Ride: Shackle reversal kits improve handling and ride comfort by reducing front suspension rebound. With a more stable front end, your Jeep will corner better and be more enjoyable to drive.
Easy Installation: Unlike many competitor’s kits, the Rough Country Shackle Reversal Kit does not require any welding. Drilling of the frame is required, but all components bolt into place.
Vehicle Specific Design: Rough Country engineered this kit for late model Jeep CJs. It is meant for use with factory shackles only, and is not compatible with lift shackles. This kit gives approximately 1/2" of front suspension lift.

Rough Country Shackle Reversal Kit Reviews
This kit is easy to install. I have 79 CJ7 with 4" lift springs on 33" tires. No drilling in the frame like other kits. The front part is strong enough but the reverse shackle literally fell apart a couple miles down the trail because there was zero weld at the most critical joint. This kit is under engineered and manufacturing is substandard. The shackles are made from thin metal and flimsy. I had to modify the shackles to make them stronger. The kit rotated my differential down and increased the driveshaft angle but not enough to cause u-joint binding. It also increasing my castor angle so now my Jeep drives real straight and stable on the road. My driveshaft seems too short now so I will need to buy a new one with a longer slip joint.
