Rough Country Rear Storage Box Reviews
Wow, this box is heavy (157 lbs shipping weight) . If they mentioned it, I did not see that it is shipped on a pallet via freight truck with only curb service. You will need two people to handle and install. The BIGGEST I have is you lose your under mat storage AND no access to jack or storage for hinge bolts, etc. I was able to fit all of my gear that I was carrying around in a tote, so it will work. Just not sure how I am going to handle a flat tire now...
The box itself is well built and thoughtfully designed. However when I opened it up it had a strong smell of cigarette smoke. I've used baking soda and other deodorizers for nearly a week and while the smell has improved, it still lingers. I was hoping to use this for camping and storing food items so this is a major annoyance. Also, the plastic levers on the side of the rails which you push down to detach the drawer are also built somewhat flimsily. All in all, it works well for what it's designed for but the quality control really needs some improvement
