Rough Country Aluminum Front Grab Handles Reviews
I like the look and it works great when we are climbing into our lifted Jeep. The one draw back losing one star is the aluminum gets really hot in the desert sun. I am going to find something to put on the grab handle so I am not grabbing the hot handle during the summer heat,
I would agree with the other reviewers here - you really do have to be very careful installing these. Take your time and you will be well rewarded - they look fantastic and are very solid. I thought I had everything covered but ended up losing a socket down the A pillar! (No biggie.) It is also true that once installed the sun visors don't go down all the way, but they will if you unclip them and slide them inwards about half an inch. The upsides however definitely outweigh these little points and I get a lot of compliments on these handles.
Good solid handles, the only reason I give 4 stars is the spacer that goes to the A pillar should be attached to the handle to prevent it falling behind the pillar cover while you are fitting it up and there should be a relief cut in the handle to have wrench clearance for the top bolt. I scratched one of the handles with the allen wrench installing the top bolt because it is so close.
