Rhino-Rack has made their Adjustable Load Holder compatible with many of their and other manufacturer's roof rack systems. The load stops are built to hold longer gear like lumber or ladders in place and prevent them from sliding while in transit. They'll help fix whatever you're hauling in place and minimize side-to-side movement that could potentially loosen any tie-down straps. They can be situated virtually anywhere on your roof rack's load bars.
