Quake LED RGB Halo 9" LED Headlights and Fog Lights Reviews
Love the lights. Fit great on 18 JL. Cool that u can change colors with the app. Problem with the app is that it is only in Chinese. Called quake, person who knows about was supposed to call me back as he was in vacation, but never heard back.
Look good
The package arrived promptly and well-wrapped. Switching over from halogen lights, these are a massive upgrade. These lights just feel sturdy and well made. The stock halogen lights I removed felt cheap compared to these.
There are so many color combination options. You can change the color, speed, and brightness of the halo rings to make seemingly countless variations. You can even make the lights dance to music.
There are a few things to be aware of:
1. As someone that has an advanced-beginner mechanical skill set, I gave the set up a try. I stripped everything down, no problem. When it came to the electrical set-up, I struggled and finally called someone in the neighborhood to assist with all the wiring and power components. He had no problem, so it was definitely my inexperience and not a product issue. Many of the videos I found online either assumed you knew how to do the steps (e.g. next you run the wires and connect the plugs, but to save time we'll jump to the next step), or were for another brand that didn't contain the same hardware.
2. I was excited to check out the app and downloaded it before the lights arrived so I could check out the functionality. Once everything was set up, I couldn't get the Bluetooth to sync. I simply deleted the app and reloaded it. Then everything worked fine.
I was originally looking at cheaper lights on Amazon. After reading one bad review after another, I sought out a more reliable solution. That's when I found the Quake product. I followed the website and continued to look for reviews and videos of the product. After a few months, I felt comfortable that I would be paying for quality and everything I read re-affirmed that Quake would stand behind the product.
Overall, I'm happy with my purchase.
