Description
Whether it is bent or missing, the Tailgate Bar for your TJ's soft top is a crucial part for keeping water out of the back of the Jeep. This replacement from Omix is identical to the original and simply slides onto the soft tubing that is part of the rear window. Foam rubber gasket makes contact with the tailgate for a tight seal and uses body corner brackets from OE tops for holding the ends.

    Good quality. There are two sizes of the tailgate bar ( thick and thin), this is the thick one. Confirm the size of the brackets

    Will this work with a smittybilt soft top
    Smittybilt bowless combo soft tops do use an original equipment style tailgate retainer bar, so I would expect the fit will be just fine. Other complete tops Smittybilt may have offered in the past should also use an OE style bar like this one. Thanks for your inquiry.
