Description
Northern high performance aluminum radiators are more durable and last longer than conventional plastic / copper combination radiators. Aluminum is more resistant to pressure and every day damage that may occur. These aluminum radiator cores and headers (end tanks) are brazed as one solid piece allowing for uniform heat transfer. Norther aluminum radiators have wider core tubes for more contact with cooling fins which provide better heat transfer. The aluminum cores are thinner allowing for better air flow over the fins which in turn conducts heat more efficiently from your Wranglers cooling system.

Save your money and find another option. I put this unit in my '14 Wrangler at roughly 210k miles (after installing two Mopar units previously). I never once heard my electric fan kick on with a Mopar radiator, but my fan was on/off constantly with this unit. Fast forward 18 months and 13k miles later - this unit is leaking and the local radiator shop says it cannot be fixed. Plus the radiator shop asked if I had "grounded" the radiator - this is the first time I'd ever heard of grounding an aluminum radiator. Apparently, without a ground, the fluid will cause accelerated decay of the unit. My fluid was definitely a dark brown when I drained it - not the bright pink I poured in at the install.
