New Century Manufacturing Billet Pedal Pads in Anodized Gray Reviews
Looks to be a quality product
While these pedals are meant to fit an 84-06 Jeep Cherokee XJ & Wrangler TJ, I purchased them for my 2019 JLU. I knew ahead of time they were not designed to simply 'bolt-on' to my existing pedals, but I figured that was something I could easily solve with a little time/effort.
I was right, the billet gas pedal mounted up perfectly with no interference at all. HINT: When you go to drill the hole in your OEM gas pedal, I found the easiest way to hold the billet pad in place was to use a vice-grip to insure it didn't move around any.
For the billet brake pedal, you can use the two left-most screw-holes just as they are and they work fine. However, the two right-most screw-holes line up directly above the brake pedal arm that's welded onto the rear of your OEM brake pedal pad. As such, I drilled an additional hole in the top, right-corner of the billet pad and used that for my 3rd screw to mount it in place.
Very well built product, they definitely feel like $100 in your hand. Nice, thick, and heavy. The reason I am writing this review is because it didn't say anything on here about drilling. I guess I should have assumed there wasn't already holes behind the pads but I wasn't sure. The clutch and brake pedal are metal behind the stock rubber cover, and the gas pedal is plastic. So make sure you have some good drill bits to get through the metal or it will take you a while. Also, there are two different sized bolts in the package, the 4 long bolts are for the clutch and brake, the 3 short are for the gas pedal. Make sure you are not drilling into the weld on the brake/clutch pedal, if you are simply turn the pad over and the bolts will also go on the other side. Very happy with the quality and turnout!
