Morimoto XB LED Side Makers Reviews
These are cool. It was a bit of a challenge getting them to pop in with fenders on. Might have been easier with fenders off. Thus the 4 stars. Good price for these and I like the lighting style better than the more expensive Overtread lights.
Lights were connected using the Metra JP-TSH1 interface. I ran extensions from the leads off that harness to the engine bay with waterproof plugs that I also attached to the ends of the lights. Now I can connect/disconnect any lights to the harness extension. I did not want to tap in to the factory wiring so the Metra interface was perfect. Did have to remove inner fender liner to access the factory connection. Metra gives you two (labeled) interfaces in the box. One for driver side and one for passenger side. You may be familiar with Metra harnesses if you do stereo installs. I liked the Quadratech DRL harness but it does not (yet) come with a turn signal connection it seems. Metra has DRL, Marker and Turn Signal leads off the interface.
Fortunately the installation instructions on here because no instructions were in the box. Installation wasn’t too bad. I didn’t hook them up to the turn signals but to the aux switch. Really nice addition. Fits very nicely.
