Mopar Slotted Off-Road Wheel in Satin Carbon Finish Reviews
Loved these wheels since first laying eyes on them. Swapped out stock Sport aluminum tech wheels for them while doing the Mopar 2" lift ('21 Sport S) and couldn't be happier. Sport has slightly shorter axles than Rubicon, but still no spacers and only minor rubbing at full lock on Sport's plastic fender gap-filler thing. Front bumper since replaced with steel, now zero rub at full lock.
Being an inch wider than stock, they poke out about an inch from fender flares. At 17 x 8.5" instead of stock 17 x 7.5" they'll take a 35" tire safely. Mounted 315/70R17 KO2's and combined weight (29lb wheel + 62 lb tire) is about 92 lbs - a great, relatively light-weight (sub 100 lb/corner) solution for a larger wheel/tire combo.
I've always preferred contrast between body color and wheel color and on my Granite Crystal Metallic the contrast of this brighter, satin carbon wheel looks super sharp, especially with RBL. Lots of compliments on Jeep icon on rim, too.
Also have Center High Mounted Stop Light Relocation Kit (CHMSL/82215349AB) with Mopar reinforced tailgate carrier - back-up camera works fine with spare mounted - you can see the little Jeep icon along the rim in the backup screen. The spring-loaded lock on plastic hood covering backup camera doesn't quite engage all the way, so keep an eye on it to make sure it doesn't fall off (hasn't in many rough miles). If you're using the Mopar rear tire tailgate reinforcement you'll need to cut down the extended bump stops to allow good, tight fit against the tailgate to avoid bounce, but it's easy and all the parts come with the kit. These wheels are uncommon and really beautiful.
Great offering from Mopar, with just the right amount of offset that gives you a great stance and look. Tired of black rims? Give these a try, a very clean and conservative look to your Jeep.
I am not complaining about the quality. But it's not what I expected
