Heavy Duty Design: Instead of using rubber and plastic like the factory hood latches, Kentrol manufactures their Mechanical Hood Catch Kit from steel.
User Friendly: No cutting, drilling, or other modifications are required to install this kit. It is 100% bolt-on, and compatible with both standard and high-top fender flares.
Corrosion Resistant: Kentrol uses black powder coated 304 stainless steel, as well as stainless steel hardware for their Mechanical Hood Catch Kit.

Kentrol Mechanical Hood Catch Kit Reviews
Put these on my Jeep last week, took a little time adjusting but once i got it dialed in they work like a charm.
Sometimes aftermarket isn't better than OEM..
I didn't care for these. It feels like the bolt needs to be just a little longer as you can only get about 5 rotations in or it's too tight and if I loosened the bolt enough to where I would like it to be I don't feel there's enough thread engaged. I don't like the design it takes too much pressure to lock the catch even with just a few threads in. I wasn't going to use locktite like the instructions suggested but after seeing how few threads are engaged I changed my mind. I may try a longer bolt to see if they are a little more usable. If i didn't have a hood lock I would be putting the stock latches back on. I still might.. I don't recommend these.
