Fishbone Offroad FB21074 Bumper to Frame Tie In Brackets for 97-06 Jeep Wrangler TJ & Unlimited

I replaced a Mopar class 3 hitch and factory bumper with a bumper with a class 3 hitch in the bumper. These brackets attach the bumper to the original hitch mounting points in the Jeep’s frame. The end result should be as strong as the factory hitch. My ground clearance is much improved.

Purchased for my 1999 TJ to add some tie-in support to a new rear bumper and tire carrier. Shipping was incredibly fast and install was easy. I did a lot of research on the rear bumper tie-in brackets from a host of manufacturers and settled on Fishbone; glad I did! Fishbone's brackets have a sloped support/strengthening bar welded between the 'L' shaped aspects of the bracket. Not only does the slope feature support drainage from mud/dirt from in and around the bumper mount, the support bar also has a large hole cut in the middle of it which allows for a deep socket to pass through for accessing your body mounts along the rear of the vehicle. This is a well thought out product, professionally constructed and designed, and was also one of the least expensive options online. Will definitely keep my eye out for Fishbone products. Love it.
