Fab Fours Rear Lifestyle Standard Bumper Reviews
I Liked the design of this rear bumper that you can use the factory led license plate lights and rear sensors. But after getting the rear bumper and reading the directions I don't like that you have to epoxy the led license plate lights and the rear sensors into place. The main problem is the rear sensors holes are to big (two holes are elongated) to fit the sensors or supplied plastic plugs into the hole. There are gaps around the sensors or plastic plugs. I think Fab fours should re-design the led license plate light mounting and the rear sensors so you don't have to epoxy them and make the sensor holes smaller. If they did this this bumper would be great all around bumper. For the price of the bumper they should have designed a little better.
I liked the idea of a steel bumper that maintained the sensors and the tow hooks. That is until I started installing it. First off the instructions were nothing but photo copies and the photos were not even viewable in half the cases. They were missing steps for removal and the sensors and license plate lights have to be epoxied in place so good luck ever using those again on another unit if you want.
The best part was “re-install tow hooks” except there almost no room to wok the bolts back in. On removal the old bumpers holes are large enough to slide over the hooks and the bolts are on top and easy to remove. I’d say this took me the better part of 3-4 hours just to get everything off, swapped, and back on.
Lastly why on earth does a Matt black unit ship with stainless bolts. That’s just annoying ship black bolts for Pete sake. The final
Look is nice but god help me if I ever need to get this back off ever again.
