Dana Spicer Performance Ball Joint Kit Reviews
ABSOLUTE JUNK!! I always thought Dana/Spicer was synonymous with quality but this made in Turkey junk is unbelievable. First off I had installed the OE equivalent Spicer ball joints 3 years ago in this lady's Wrangler that's only street driven daily driver with a 255/75R17 on it. Ball joints already worn. So I ordered the more than 3x expensive "upgraded" Spicer ball joints, and like others have experienced, I can slide these lower ball joints in 100% of the way BY HAND!!! The other ones (OE equivalent Spicer) fit fine but wore out super quick.
Ordered these to replace my stock Spicer ball joints on my JK. I expected them to be high quality since they’re Spicer, but I was wrong.
There were major manufacturing errors with the set I received as they were way too loose. Compared to my stock ball joints, which were already worn, these were 0.01 inches smaller. Which may seem like a small difference, but rest assured when dealing with steering components things need to be exact. This difference meant they were way too loose and didn’t even require wrenching, yikes!! Definitely not safe to drive with these.
Not to mention the size between the two ball joints were slightly different too, likely manufacturing error. I ended up just using the normal Spicer ball joints as it’s clear these performance ones have issues.
Currently trying to get a refund for these parts… Not to mention the extra hour of labor to put these faulty ones in and then remove them since they weren’t safe.
