Currie Enterprises Currie 44 Front Crate Axle Reviews
It is now 2023 and this was purchased several years ago when the options where a bit different. I will give it 4 stars instead of 5 based on 2 criteria. #1 it took a LONG time to receive the item, as Currie seems to put them in the build que once they are ordered and that takes a couple of months to build. #2 it is REQUIRED that you have a 4 inch lift as the suspension and track bar mounting locations are different from factory and just do not work with smaller lifts. I am on 2 1/2 inches of lift and had to cut, fabricate and weld up a new trac bar mount just to clear the frame. Now with the bad stuff over. This axle has held up to some serious abuse with no issues whatsoever and I wheel MUCH harder than your normal Jeeper. Mine was outfitted with 4.56 gears and a Detroit locker and after a few years of nonstop abuse it has given me zero issues. My normal terrain is large rock obstacles.
