Description
The Crown Automotive Locking Vented Fuel Cap is a direct replacement for the late export CJ's. This fuel cap is keyed by the manufacturer and supplied with two keys. To maintain the proper fuel flow to the carburetor the seal and vent create the required back pressure.

Vented fuel cap versus non-vented? Bought an old CJ-5 and occasionally lose fuel out of the old fuel evaporation line, which is connected to nothing. Will a vented cap help?
You need to maintain a non-vented cap due to the fuel delivery system. Pump and carburetor require it

I have a 1994 YJ and want to know if this will still work on it. I'm told I need a vented fuel cap, but I'd like a sturdy metal one. If this is not the correct cap to use, could I be directed to one that fits my search criteria?
Unfortunately all of the locking fuel caps that we offer are the plastic style. We do not have any vendors that offer a cap of billet or metal construction.
