Description
To fix that sputtering fuel problem or inaccurate fuel gauge in your Jeep CJ, look to the Crown Automotive Fuel Sending Unit Kit. This kit includes a new filter for the pickup tube to assure that you are getting proper fuel flow and new gaskets and seals to make sure that moisture and water stay out of the tank. The sending unit operates at the same Ohms as the factory so there is special wiring or splicing necessary, simply hook up to the factory wiring and drop into the tank.

Is the diametre of the seal 2 1/2 inches?
Yes, it is.

Is this sending unit a '' linear'' or ''non linear unit? Auto meter gauges are linear specific depending on which gauge I choose. so I have to know before I can order a gauge to gauge to go with this unit.
All jeep OE sending units are Non linear. The CJ Ohms rating 73-12 Ohms is the proper Auto Meter application for use with this sending unit.

1986 CJ7; I have an Autometer 2652 aftermarket linear fuel gauge that I plan to use with this fuel sending unit, both are 10-73 ohms, will these work together?
