Description

When looking for a side step for your Wrangler Unlimited JK don't just settle for a ordinary run of the mill side step. Look for something that not only looks great but functions better then the rest. The Aries ActionTrac Powered Running Boards give you a step within a step deploying a step when you open your Wrangler's door to make getting in and out of your JK easy even for lifted Jeeps. A switch is also included that allows manual control of the steps if you take the doors off the Jeep. Made from 6061-T6 aluminum these steps are lightweight, durable & resistant to corrosion giving you a nice looking step on your JK for years to come. An added feature that comes in handy at night is the LED light that operates when the steps are deployed to light up the whole step area for safety.

Details

Features: Gives you full side protection and a step all in one. Steps deploy when your door is opened & have a non skid surface giving you traction even in muddy conditions. When deployed these steps will extend 15 inches from the door sill (8 inches from the top step). The ActionTrac running boards are timed with a two second delay, which stops the steps from opening or closing too quickly when the doors are closed.

Construction: Made from durable 6061-T6 aluminum these steps are strong with a static load rating of 650lbs. Finished off with a carbide black powder coat to add extra protection and resistant to corrosion.

Weight Limit: Rated for 650 lbs. static weight capacity (limited to mounting structure).

Installation: Don't let the fact that these are a powered running board scare you off, installation is hassle free using the factory mounting locations meaning you will not have to drill or make any modifications to your Wrangler JK. All the hardware & wiring is provided for you so you can get your Jeep back on the road in no time.

The install was a very easy install. My initial thought was it would be much harder than the install video. Thankfully that was not the case, the install video shows a pretty accurate representation of the process. The video shows an older version with the LED light clip and the steps that are shipped have an additional piece that is added.

Total time spent on the install was around four hours from start to finish. This was done with the Jeep on the ground. My Jeep has a 3.5" lift and 35" tires.
