AEV’s 2in Spacer Lift easily installs on your Jeep Gladiator JT providing clearance for 35” tires on the Sport and Overland models or 37” tires on Rubicon and Mojave models with aftermarket wheels. As a cost-effective option this spacer lift kit is made from high-quality polyurethane and e-coated and powder coated brackets suitable for daily drivers and off-road Jeeps. With such an easy installation reusing the factory-tuned shocks will retain on-road ride quality without sacrificing off-road capability. Installing the included harness allows you to operate the ProCal Snap right from your factory stereo display and steering wheel controls to calibrate for the different tire sizes. It will even work to calibrate a change in axle and transfer case gear ratios.

AEV 2in Spacer Lift Reviews
I was really glad to find a lift kit for our Gladiator that would allow us to keep our factory springs and shocks and maintain a similar ride. This kit is not complicated to install, but it does require some elbow grease. I did it by myself in the garage with a pair of jack stands and a floor jack.
The hardest part was getting the rear springs back in after getting the spacers in. I didn’t want to disconnect my brakes (so I wouldn’t have to bleed them), so I was limited in how far I could droop the axle. This meant I had to use spring compressors, which is always a little nerve-racking. I did get everything back in eventually, so that was great.
For the rear I followed the directions and loosened all the control arm bolts and the track bar bolts, but let me tell you, those are no fun. They’re torqued on there real solid, and getting them loosened and re-torqued wasn’t my favorite.
For the front I decided not to loosen the control arm bolts or the track bar bolts and it worked out totally fine. I do risk increased wear on my bushings by doing that, but I figured I’d probably end up with a taller lift and new control arms before I actually wear out the bushings as a result of being a little lazy with this install.
The front springs were much easier to get in and out. It was much faster doing the front than the rear, which surprised me.
The new ride height is great, it feels close to stock in terms of handling (it’s definitely not the same), and I didn’t need an alignment after doing it.
Like many Jeep projects, it’s totally doable alone, but having a friend to help would have made it a bit easier and a lot faster.
Took a long time to install, but not hard, simply time consuming. Make sure to download the directions directly from AEV, the one listed on the quadratec sight is older and does not include some details that make the job easier.
I have a gladiator rubicon and didn’t want to go spending thousands of dollars. AEV makes awesome products and I do like my factory fox shocks so I took the chance and I am glad I did! I paired this with metalcloaks spongey bump stops, 35’s and I can’t be happier. Tested in big bear over 50 miles of nonstop trail riding 3days straight and no sign of damage. Still have plenty of flex and can party with wranglers with 3” lifts and 35s.
