Reviews for Dirtydog 4X4 Pet Divider with Hammock for 18-21 Jeep Wrangler JL Unlimited & Gladiator JT
Don't have it yet
Like the door protectors
Good quality and super simple to install. Shipped and was delivered earlier than expected. Will continue to buy from Quadratec and now am a fan of Dirtydog.
Cargo Divider:
It's absurdly overbuilt--love this thing. Don't know if you could make a better cargo divider out of webbing. A lot of thought went into this design. Bungees were mentioned in another review: The six shock cords are placed so you don't block access under the seat or bunch up the webbing in the middle; the giant acorn nuts holding the hammock have no sharp edges--you won't tear up your upholstery (or dog).
Hammock:
Feels strong--wish it were a bit thicker, maybe. My basset hound has, I think, broken every other product out there like this--He's dense: 100 lbs of dog in a 20 lb sack. so...my experience with other products is that you hit a big bump, the hammock rips, dog falls, and gets stuck, upside-down in the seat gutter flailing around. Interested to see if it will hold up with constant use. So far so good.
This is a great product for the hardtop. However, the screws it comes with don’t fit the Mopar soft top, and the soft top screws aren’t long enough.
I'll likely be returning this product, not happy with it. A few issues:
1. Only 6 bungees are included to attach the base of the pet divider to the bottom of the front seat, but there are eight grommets at the base of the divider, so you either have to only use 4 so it's symmetrical, or use all six which then it appears 2 are missing (because it's not symmetrical.
2. The oversized bolts and acorn nuts which attach the hammock to the divider way too big and look terrible for the application (see attached pictures). We put them on backwards to make them fit a little better, otherwise, the acorn nuts interfere with the hard plastic front seat backs. I'm afraid the plastic on the seats will be scratched or marked by the bolts/nuts.
3. The round rod which holds the divider from the top doesn't fit very well into the squared-off brackets, it doesn't look like it was designed properly.
