Reviews for Quadratec QRC Side Armor with Step for 07-18 Jeep Wrangler JK
Just got these for my 2017 Wrangler Sport. Quick ship, well packaged, look great, and installed easily. They look and feel very solid.
These arrived in a few days and I removed the stock rock rails and had these on in less than a half hour. All the bolt holes lined up perfectly. They look great, and now my wife has a step to help her get in and out of my 2016 Wrangler Willys. They're heavy and seem like they will protect well. They were priced better than most other brands that I looked at. I'm very happy with these and would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for some side protection for their Jeep.
Great looking, easy to install side step/armor for our Willys 2-Door. Have to remove the stock Rubicon Rock Sliders - takes 10 minutes extra.
Rock solid steps. Easy to install and looks great.
got these for a 2017 JK 2 door - they fit perfectly and was able to put them on by myself in about a half hour ... definitely would have been easier with a second person to hold only negative is they don't extend much past the body, which is good for off-road, but makes the step pretty ineffective - I got these particularly since my wife wanted a step that didn't have big holes (problems for high heels) will see how they do off-road as the ones on my last Jeep got pretty banged up
Nice product, solid and nice painted, good value for the money, easy to install, just make sure to align the vertical mounting brackets to the inside of the car's pinch weld. I don't give 5 stars only because the step is more inside under the car than I expected, so only 50% of the width is actually usable.
Really like these side steps . But quality controll failed welds pore and not cleand up especially on the surface of the pinch seam bracket. I had to clean them up before install . Probably picky because I am a person who has welded for years . Someone looking at them could have easily pointed this out before power coating
The rails themselves seem to be great: sweet look and easy install.
After two years they have stood up to weather and salt. No paint chipping etc.
Full disclosure though, we don't rock crawl, at least not yet.
The only negative is the hardware (nuts & bolts) began rusting almost immediately. I doubt that it was even galvanized,
I have a 2-door Sport and the bolts under the car, furthest from the front, would not match up with the given holes on the step. I went ahead and left that bolt off because it is still sturdy. I'm not sure if it was a factory defect or if it is made poorly. It also took around 2-3 hours to take my old rails off and put these on.
Junk only after one year on the vehicle the paint chips and they start to rust poor Quality
