Reviews for Quadratec 16" Hi Performance AM/FM Stubby Antenna for 07-23 Jeep Wrangler JL, JK & Gladiator JT
looks great but the reception is really poor. Since i have sxm radio i just left it on for the look
Antenna is made of good quality but the FM reception is pretty bad. Once installed replace the OEM antenna, the reception became worse the before. Based on other reviews, I thought it would improve or at least stay the same but that was not the case.
Reception is gone after install, looks good though
Picks up FM great. I listen to AM mostly and reception is horrible.
Looks good but lost reception.
Looks great, easy install BUT mine broke at the base (fiberglass?) where the antenna connects to the metal base after 4 months. Not sure how it happened since it had not been off road and maybe went through a carwash 3 times. Disappointed in the quality....
I lost a couple channels, however that's not a big concern since I primarily play my own music. I would rate higher but after the first month the rubber tip on the end cracked exposing the top of the antenna. 2 stars for style and function.
Antenna is nice but the adapter that came with mine would not fit my jeep I am a machinist by trade so I have thread gages I checked adapter & it would not go into gage , had to run a thread die on adapter & that did the trick hopefully mine was just a fluke because a thread die will cost you around 10 bucks ! reception is good so all in all I'm happy with antenna
Antenna looks great and was easy to install, but a branch hit it while driving and bent it in two. Not a very sturdy product. Disappointing.
I bought this $40 stubby antenna to replace the OEM antenna on my 2021 Gladiator. The OEM works great but I wanted something that was shorter and not get destroyed in the carwash. I live about 20 miles outside of a major metro area and I listen to a lot of AM talk shows when I am not streaming music. I had my radio on as I installed this antenna and noticed an immediate and significant signal and volume loss. Other channels also had lots of static and crackling so be warned that this antenna is not as strong as the OEM. I did not try any FM stations. Anyway, this antenna is useless to me and when contacting Quadratec they informed me that they would not accept it as a return as it had been "installed" despite the fact that it had been on my Jeep for about 2 minutes.
