Reviews for LoD Offroad Signature Series Shorty Front Bumper with Bull Bar and D-Ring Tabs for 18-22 Jeep Wrangler JL & Gladiator JT
This bumper looks great and is built like a tank. I was a little worried about adding this extra weight to the Jeep, but after the bumper and skid plate were installed the Jeep ended up 3/16" lower, not too concerned with that much. If you can, you should install your winch and front bumper at the same time. I had to loosen the bumper mounts in order to get the winch in place, fits like a glove. doubt if it will be stolen because you can't lift it up and out due to a lip on the bumper. I don't know if this is by design or accident. The winch lowered the jeep another 1/16"(WARN Zeon 10-S).
I am just now wrapping up installation of this bumper including the skid plate. The parts arrived very well packed in form fitted foam, good job. The powder coat had a few dings that some touch up will fix. It went together very easily with one exception. My Jeep is a 21 JLR. I think Jeep made some changes to the fog lights which resulted in me having to use different fasteners to re-mount them in the new bumper, no big deal. My Warn winch fit perfectly with no room to spare. It seems to have been made to go there. I like the way the winch is set down in the bumper. I will be able to lift it out if I need to. Very good product.
Installation was fairly straightforward, the instructions were not very descriptive and also stated all the hardware was 3/4inch. My hardware was a mix of 16mm and 18mm.
I own a pair of LOD steps, and the build quality between the two is significant. Old products instructions were much clearer, new products mounting hardware is already rusting after 4 months (old product hardware is still clean) and the bumper has some strange thing where only one of the two spacers was needed, but in order to get it in the space I had to use a hammer. Finally, the fog lights were extremely difficult to get in, and are impossible to access without taking the whole bumper off, which would be no easy feat. Took me from 8pm-5 AM to install.
