Reviews for Go Rhino RB20 Running Boards for 18-20 Jeep Wrangler JL Unlimited
Yep. I like em. Good coverage but not a slider by any means. Perfect for helping my old ass in and out.
Pros: Look great and easy instal, just make sure you use the brackets in the correct locations. Cons: They are not adjustable out from the edge of Jeep Unlimited , bracket width is not wide enough, only 1/2 inch of outside support, this narrows the available step width.
Functional, sturdy, good looking (in my opinion). The mounting system makes it easy to install with one person. The brackets are not 100% precisely manufactured so the boards don't sit entirely flat. The supplied hardware was partially incorrect for the application, and the instructions were clearly for an earlier version and in part made no sense. Having installed several sets of running boards before, I was able to just figure it out, and I threw away the extraneous hardware. The finish on some of the brackets was scraped off so I had to touch it up with some flat black Rustoleum paint to make sure they don't rust over time. It looked suspiciously like it had been returned after being installed, or possibly it was just poorly packed. In any case, it's of slightly lesser build and finish quality than I would expect for the price, but it gave me the look and function I wanted, so I kept it. I would purchase something else if I were doing it over. Years ago I had a set from Smittybuilt that were fantastic, but I can't find them anymore.
I've really liked these since putting them on my jeep exactly a year ago. They look good and install pretty easily, minus the garbage instructions. Only problem I have is that after having them on my jeep exactly a year now the paint is starting to peel and crack at the front and back of them and along the angled corners near the front and back. I clean my car regularly but that did not stop these from having the paint peel. Kind of unacceptable after only owning them a year. I never take my jeep off road only road driven, we'll see how Go Rhino's warranty team remedies this issue.
paint peeled off and boards have rusted
